But believers "fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2nd Cor. 4:18 NIV)

And even Jesus reached out for the power of his Father's glory: "Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you." (John 17:1 NIV). He was raised from the dead into that stunning glory as he received his glorified body.

When the glory of God appeared on earth, it was stunning. Like the consuming fire on Sinai, or the intense cloud of His glory at the tabernacle and later at the temple in Israel.
"The priests could not enter the temple of the Lord because the glory of the Lord filled it." (2nd Chronicles 7:1-3 NIV)

God said about Moses, "With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD" (Numbers 12:6-8 NIV). He spoke to Moses "face to face as one speaks to a friend" (Exodus 33:11 NIV).
As believers on Christ, we go even further. "And we, who with unveiled faces all contemplate (behold as in a mirror) the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness...". (2nd Corinthians 3:17-18 NIV)

Other translations say that God "manifested" or "revealed" his love to us. How? By sending his own Son to give us life.
