God said about Moses, "With him I speak face to face, clearly and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD" (Numbers 12:6-8 NIV).  He spoke to Moses "face to face as one speaks to a friend" (Exodus 33:11 NIV).

As believers on Christ, we go even further. "And we, who with unveiled faces all contemplate (behold as in a mirror) the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness...". (2nd Corinthians 3:17-18 NIV)

Listen and learn how God's enduring love brings us face to face with Him.

 

Notice how God acted on his love: "This is how God showed his love to us: He sent his only Son into the world to give us life through him." (1st John 4:9 ERV)

Other translations say that God "manifested" or "revealed" his love to us. How? By sending his own Son to give us life.

Listen and learn how God's love for you isn't anemic or weak. His love is active on your behalf every day.

^"Where God’s love is, there is no fear, because God’s perfect love takes away fear. It is his punishment that makes a person fear. So his love is not made perfect in the one who has fear." (1st John 4:18 ERV)

If you've ever wanted to live a fear-free, worry-free life, here's the way to do it. The secret is to be fully matured in the love God has for you, which impacts the love you have for him.

John, the "Apostle of Love", wrote "We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us." (1st John 4:16 NASB)

One of the greatest revelations believers experience is the awareness that God truly loves us, "to know this love that surpasses knowledge..." (Ephesians 3:19 NIV). Listen and learn to exercise your faith in realizing how much God loves you. 

"See what love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" (1st John 3:1 NIV)

John wrote, "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us" (1 John 3:16 NIV).

Jesus came from the throne of glory and descended to this cursed world to take our place. He laid down his life, and as our great High Priest in Heaven is still laying it down.

He will join us in the resurrection in that body he now has, which he will have forever. All because of love for the broken human race.

God doesn't expect us to love him for no reason. He knows love produces love. "This is love - not that we loved God, but that he loved us..." (1st John 4:10 NIV)

If we love God, we follow Him. Jesus said, "The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them." (John 14:21 NIV)

Amazing encounters with the Lord await those who love Him. Moses spoke with God face to face and saw His glory. (Exodus 33:11 & 34:1-8). Experiencing God happens to those who love and follow Him.

Jesus called it the Great Commandment: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind..." (Luke 10:27 NIV).
Shouldn't believers make this directive from the Lord our main priority? What are the benefits and joys of pursuing this Great Commandment?
