Where Is Your Faith? -9 "The Way"

When Jesus told his disciples that he had to leave them, they struggled to understand. He reassured them that they'd join him later, and that they already knew the way to where he was going.

Puzzled, Thomas said “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” (John 14:5 NIV)

That's when Jesus made that well known statement, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6 NIV)

Jesus' disciples were intensely interested in going where he was going, and in seeing the Father for themselves.

Jesus assured them that he IS the way right into the heart of God. Listen and find out how every disciple can "Come near to God and he will come near to you". (James 4:7 NIV)

Where Is Your Faith? -8 "Confidence In His Presence"

Have you ever heard the story of Abigail? She was a master mediator. And so was Moses. The Bible tells often of wonderful mediators who saved people - sometimes whole nations - from judgment.

Jesus was the Master at being a mediator, intercessor, and advocate.

Where Is Your Faith? -7 "Our Man In Heaven"-2

The whole Bible reminds us that we're a needy people. Because of sin, mankind is incomplete and needy without God's Presence.

But the Bible also reveals help and hope. Jesus the Messiah became our Great High Priest to give us access to the holy realm where God lives. We can actually interact with God Himself on a personal level.

Because of our High Priest, we "have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus... let us draw near to God with a sincere heart with the full assurance that faith brings...". (Hebrews 10:19-22 NIV)

Where Is Your Faith? -6 "Our Man In Heaven"

According to the latest statistics, about 8 billion people now live on Planet Earth. How many of those are living whole-heartedly for God? How many are eagerly looking for God's will? How many care nothing for God or His will? How many have sinned, have committed terribly evil acts this past week?

With billions of sins surging through the earth, how can we possibly coexist with God's supernatural holiness?

"God made him (Christ) who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." (2nd Corinthians 5:21 NIV)

God took action. He opened a freeway right into His Presence, even for those who've sinned terribly and don't deserve any mercy.

Where Is Your Faith? -5 "A New And Living Way"

Extraordinary results require an extraordinary faith. And extraordinary faith requires an extraordinary foundation. Where you put your faith is vital.

When Christ died on the cross, he opened a new and living way for us. Believers now have an amazing, clear access to God Himself. All the barriers, veils, and curtains have been removed. By faith in Him, you can take the open road into the reality God's Presence.

Where Is Your Faith? -4 "On This Rock"

When Jesus had taken his disciples aside to Caesarea Philippi he asked them, "Who do you say I am?" This is a key moment for the disciples. They had told him what the crowds though about him, but now he wants to know who they think he is.

Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." (Matt. 16:13-20 NIV)

Jesus said that answer, called the 'Good Confession' in 1st Timothy 6:12-14, is the foundation on which he builds his church.

After Jesus tamed the storm on the Sea of Galilee, he asked his terrified disciples, "Where is your faith?"

Either they had no faith at all, or they'd misplaced it into something or someone who didn't deserve to have their faith.

Jesus deserved to have their faith placed in him. And he deserves our faith, too. Listen and find out why.

When Jesus still the stormy Sea of Galilee, his astonished disciples asked, "Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him." (Luke 8:25 NIV)

You can't have a mature faith in someone you don't know.

Where Is Your Faith? "Image of The Invisible God"

“'Where is your faith?' he asked his disciples." (Luke 8:25 NIV)

The storm was rapidly swallowing the boat while Jesus napped. So, the disciples panicked and yelled at Jesus, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” 

That's when he asked them what happened to their faith. Had they misplaced it? Did they have more faith in the storm to kill them than faith in Jesus to protect them?

Finding Peace in The Storm-10 "Peace Through Prayer"

Peace is already yours. Jesus said:

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27 NIV)

So, why don't we experience that peace? Because it doesn't just happen, it takes intentional action...

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 NIV)
