God does not change (Malachi 3:6). But WE can change. When we change, God will change his actions toward us.
That's why people of strong spirits pray. They make prayer a lifelong priority. That's how they grew strong spirits.
Looking into the lives of Jesus, Moses, and even Jonah, we see God change his actions based on how his people respond.

To grow abundant fruit, you must control its environment. One of the most amazing fruits of a Holy Spirit environment is peace (Galatians 5:22).
Just before Jesus went to the cross, and the resurrection, he promised his disciples, "I give you peace, the kind of peace only I can give. It isn't like the peace this world can give." (John 14:27 Contemporary English Version)
So, what is this "peace" that only Christ can give?

The way some people talk, you'd think submission is a vulgar word. In modern culture, submission isn't welcome. It's considered old fashioned and the way to bondage.
But according to the Bible, submission is not only a good idea, it's actually beautiful. It's not bondage. It is the path to true freedom: "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you... Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." (James 4:7-10 NIV)
